I love iolite. It is such and underrated stone. It is more violet than sapphire and far more affordable. Iolite is a hard gemstone so it can be appropriate for rings. I made this 18 karat gold necklace for myself after finding an exceptional example of this gemstone. This pendant is all about the gemstone- no added fuss, with the exception of the small diamond at the top. Am wearing this today!
